  • Jocelyn Van Orden Shoot

    Photographer Oliver Anderson

    Model  Jocelyn Van Orden

    Location  Santa Rosa CA

Don Wehr, owner of, Don Wehr's Music City in San Francisco was kind enough to open his house so I could shoot Jocelyn and provide West Coast Leather some amazing images.  The previous day I'd walked into West Coast Leather's store at Grant/Stockton and spoke to Skip Pas the Fashion Director for West Coast Leather and told him I had an amazing model and a beautiful location.  He told me to pull anything I think I could use...so I went crazy and grabbed some jackets, sexy dresses and smoking hot vests.  I decided to take the shoot out to Don's amazing pool and I'm sure you'll agree I made a great decision.  The weather was cooperating so I had to shoot Jocelyn in a couple swim suits before we got to the leather but I'm pretty sure there won't be any complaints.  Skip's informed me that West Coast Leather is getting in tons of new designs so stay tuned for some more amazing models, locations and designs.

  • “MORE THAN JUST LEATHER” – WEST COAST LEATHER AND COCOA JEANS LAUNCH EVENT AT NEW SAN FRANCISCO BOUTIQUE

West Coast Leather brings the hottest Latin fashion to the Bay area – the Cocoa Jeans Launch Event at West Coast Leather’s new boutique at 290 Sutter Street in downtown San Francisco.

San Francisco, California: April 17, 2010.   The synergy of West Coast Leather’s hot brand with the sizzle of Latin American Cocoa Jeans sent an electric buzz through the two veteran designers, Fashion Director Skip Pas and Cocoa Jeans USA President Steve Tolevski at the Legacy Through Giving Charity Fashion Show at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Burlingame. The Legacy Through Giving organization was founded with a mission to empower smaller non-profit organizations to raise funds for their missions by providing them with elite venue annual fundraisers and online referral donation program opportunities. The two featured designer brands West Coast Leather and Cocoa Jeans showed off their latest collections together at this year’s Legacy fundraiser.   Both Skip and Steve have always been trend setters, not followers. Skip Pas has seen leather go from fringe in the sixties to a sexier, more fitted wardrobe staple.   With new collections every season including dresses, pants and skirts, Skip and West Coast Leather continue to team up with new designers to bring the most current designs to leather. Jackets that go from day to evening, in everything from smooth leather moto jackets to washed leather jackets incorporating jewelry, exposed zippers and exotic inlays. Steve Tolevski of Cocoa Jeans knows the fashion and global economy inside out and has never seen a pair of jeans like Cocoa that evokes such a reaction from women.   What is it about Cocoa Jeans that is different from every other jean on the market?   Two sisters founded this line of jeans 8 years ago in an attic in Colombia because they were tired of jeans made by men. The two women knew how to appeal to other women and Latin American aesthetic qualities – sensuality, sexiness and curves. Selling Cocoa Jeans in local markets, these jeans soon became the number one selling jean in Latin America.   When you buy a pair of Cocoa Jeans, you are not only helping support the Colombian economy, but also the US economy because all the raw materials and machinery are from the USA. When Colombians make money, they buy more US goods.   Steve thinks this global equation is the future of the sustainable clothing market. USA based DuPont actually developed the fabric that the Cocoa jeans are made from-- a high tech fabric comprised of cotton, polyester and lycra which resists fading and shrinkage, creating a fit like no other jean.   Wear after wear, these jeans remember your booty shape and continue to contour and elevate. Sexy jeans and a great leather jacket are the perfect outfit together.

Cocoa Jeans and West Coast Leather are not just clothing companies though.   Both companies regularly support numerous charities with donations and through fundraisers, like Legacy Through Giving, the Wounded Warrior Project, the Breast Cancer Emergency Fund, the Baby be Mine local fundraisers, Teen Challenge, Aids causes, Stanford charities, Sick Children’s Hospital, the ASPCA and Operation Helmet just to name a few.   Both Skip and Steve believe that Giving is Always in Fashion.

West Coast Leather is currently featuring Cocoa Jeans in both its Sutter Street boutique and the Westfield San Francisco Centre on Market Street.

While working in the West Coast Leather store on Grant St a cool rock & roll guy comes in he was jazzed about getting something different for his next big event.  After trying on several coats I put on our  new blazer but it was not his size  I then called Skip Pas our fashion director over and he took measurements and told the customer he would make one especially designed to hit him.  The Blazer was in a beautiful brown wash skin l leather with a Fitchie Travelers Cross

It turns out the customer was Bruce Cullen producer of trance music & performer  and founder of TranceElements. He has put on shows all over the world .

  • Laurena Lacey

    Photographer: Oliver Anderson

    Model: Laurena Lacey

Stylist: Skip Pas (West Coast Leather GM)

The shoot with Laurena was photographed on the last Saturday in August.  We got a late start and Skip Pas from West Coast Leather had loaded us up with 3Xs the jackets I thought we'd be shooting.  Due to the amount of jackets we were shooting I insisted he accompany us and assist with the clothing to insure the outfits ROCKED!  We decided on heading down to the Embroidery  to shoot at the waterfront during sunset and with only 11/2 hours of light Laurena was going to have to give us a perfect look every 10 minutes including wardrobe changes.  In the shoot I wanted to show some of the waterfront as well as the setting sun and Ferry Building...hope you enjoy the images and get ready for my next West Coast Leather shoot....and remember to visit the NEW location at 300 Grant Ave/Sutter.
